This striking first film from director Paolo Franchi is a hypnotic and richly compelling journey into the mysterious and melancholic world of voyeurism. Valeria (Barbara Bobulova) quietly observes the mundane activities of her neighbour Massimo through her window. When he suddenly moves to Rome, Valeria, without actually being sure why, impulsively decides to follow him. There she meets and unexpectedly befriends Massimo's attractive companion, Flavio. Valeria tries to avoid direct contact with Massimo, but as she evades his gaze, and keeps her distance, Massimo begins to be intrigued with her.
